We are looking for a motivated and practical Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised electrical qualification, supported by experienced engineers in a fast-paced and growing industry.
You will be part of our Service team, supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across our generator fleet and customer equipment, both in the workshop and on-site.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.
- You will support work on electrical systems including wiring, control panels, lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and associated components.
- You will help carry out routine inspections, testing, and fault finding to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- You will assist with installing, repairing, and replacing electrical components such as wiring, conduits, switchgear, and related systems.
- You will be involved in generator installation, maintenance, and testing.
- You will carry out preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment is safe and operating efficiently.
- You will help maintain accurate service and maintenance records and complete company paperwork as required.
- You will follow all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures and work in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- You will maintain a clean and organised working environment and ensure tools and equipment are properly used and cared for.
- You will work closely with colleagues and communicate professionally with customers when required.
What we’re looking for:
- You should have GCSEs (or equivalent), ideally including Maths, English, and a technical subject.
- You should be working towards, or willing to work towards, a recognised Electrical qualification.
- You will have a practical interest in electrical or engineering work. Any hands-on experience in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
- You should be a good communicator, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You will be reliable, motivated, and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards developing new skills.
