The Port of Milford Haven manages an extensive number of Marine Assets to the highest standards to support pilot operations, reliability to customers and safe navigation of the Haven. These key assets include: 4 pilot vessels, 2 pollution vessels, and other patrol and marine support vessels.
Our Engineering & Marine Maintenance Support Team is dedicated to delivering these services collaboratively, working closely with customers, suppliers, and all departments. All of this is delivered whilst upholding the highest standards of engineering excellence and customer support.
Our Marine Support Technician Apprenticeship offers an opportunity to earn as you learn on a structured programme. You will work towards achieving a relevant Level 3 qualification in an associated engineering discipline by attending Pembrokeshire College one day per week with the remainder of time being based on site, receiving comprehensive on-the-job training and valuable work experience, in a safe and well-resourced work environment, with highly experienced marine maintenance personnel.
The apprenticeship programme will take place over a 2 – 4 years period dependant on qualifications and previous experience.
To qualify for this apprenticeship, you will need two GCSEs at grade C or above (to include English Language/First Language Welsh and Mathematics/Numeracy (or equivalent if you have gained your qualifications outside of the UK).
OR
If you are a current student at Pembrokeshire College, you will need to have 5 GCSE at grade C or above (to include English Language/First Language Welsh and Mathematics/Numeracy) or equivalent if you have gained your qualifications outside of the UK.
