Are you an aspiring Accounts professional looking to get your foot in the door within a fast-paced finance team?
We’re looking for an Accounts Apprentice to join our in-house Finance Team at our head office based in Trumpington, Cambridge. This role will support in all aspects of the management accounting of the firm whilst further assisting the department.
The Finance Department plays a crucial role in providing strategic, managerial, and operational financial support to the firm while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
As an Accounts Apprentice, you will be part of a close-knit team of finance professionals, including both qualified accountants and those currently pursuing their qualifications. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of management accounting, contributing to the smooth financial operation of the business.
To support your professional development, you will have the opportunity to study for an AAT qualification as part of our apprenticeship study programme at First Intuition, starting in September.
This role offers a fantastic pathway to kick-start your career in finance while learning from experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:

Processing bank transactions across multiple accounts.

Processing month end journals.

Recharging and allocating costs accordingly.

Maintaining reconciliations.

Raising sundry sales invoices on an ad hoc basis.

Assisting in the annual audit process.

Assisting with the preparation of reports for the business to assist with decision making.

Ad hoc duties as and when necessary, for example, cost analysis.
About You:

Grade 9 - 5 in Maths and English GCSE’s (or equivalent)

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office

Numerate and accurate

Takes pride in their work

Excellent attention to detail

Able to work as part of a team and to deadlines

Able to communicate well both written and verbally

Strong time management skills
-
An A-level in Maths, Business Studies or Accounting is also desirable, along with Accounts experience.
