Your role
May include but not limited to the the following tasks;
- Managing diaries
- Opening and closing files
- Billing and basic account work.
- Assisting fee earners where requested for example in completing power of attorney forms.
- Being flexible to challenges in the day-to-day life of a busy law firm.
- General administration and reception
Desired skills
- Due to the Apprenticeship criteria candidates with LLB would not be eligible for this position
- Local viable commute essential
- 4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's
- Confident with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
- Good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
- Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
- Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
- The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- Good client care skills

Training to be provided
- You will complete the Paralegal Apprenticeship
- This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
- This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
