Apprentice Grounds Operative (Horticulture)
Do you have a passion for Landscaping and Horticulture?
We have an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity in the Bristol area, working with experienced colleagues to carry out grounds maintenance to required specifications.
You'll be working 40 hours a week (ranging between 7am - 5pm), working with us 4 days a week and attending college 1 day a week to study for level 2 in Horticulture, a course designed for those that are new to horticulture or have basic knowledge and skills.
A full Manual UK Driving Licence is required for this opportunity.
Duties during the 4 days will include:
- Use of petrol driven equipment for Lawn Cutting & Hedge Pruning
- Weeding and bed maintenance of existing borders
- Shrub pruning as required
- Litter Picking & Sweeping
- Continuous development throughout the apprenticeship programme
We will provide in-house training covering Risk Assessment, PPE, Use of machinery, basic maintenance and safety checks

- A strong customer focused approach
- Ability to implement Health and Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices
- Full, manual UK driving license
- Be prepared to undertake a DBS check (We cover the cost of carrying out a DBS check)
