Main responsibilities:
- To undertake engineering tasks allocated by department supervisors, which are deemed by them to be within your capabilities.
- To attend Peterborough Regional College to undertake the Apprenticeship qualifications mandated within the standard.
The apprentice will be doing the following:
- College Years 1-3 (1 day per week)
- CNC Grinding
- Manual operations
- CNC Programming
- 3D Printing
- Reading and understanding technical drawings
Other responsibilities:
- Ensure all company standards are maintained.
- Ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Ensure commitment and application of the company Quality systems are sustained.
- Help identify any areas for improvement and implementation.
- Carry out any other duties which may from time to time be reasonably requested to assist in the day to day running of the company.
Entry requirements:
- GCSE Grade A-C or 6-9 in Maths and English is essential.

- High motivation / Eager to learn
- Career driven
- There is potential for a full-time, permanent role as a skilled engineer.
- You will be learning from skilled engineers. Work can be repetitive. Attention to detail is essential so you must be focused.

The successful candidate will?
The successful candidate will be required to complete a 3 month probation period. This will allow both parties to review the apprenticeship in detail.
Working hours (39 hour week)
Monday - 7:30am - 4:30pm
Tuesday - 7:30am - 4:30pm
Wednesday - 7:30am - 4:30pm
Thursday - 7:30am - 4pm Friday 7:30am - 1pm
These working hours will remain during the apprenticeship to enable the relevant training required. After this period, flexitime will be available.

Interviews will be running through March till June. Please can all applicants be aware that decision making may not be immediate.
