Job description
Job Purpose:
To assist the HR Support and Recruitment team in the delivery of transactional activities aligning to Police Federance Regulations, and Police Staff Handbook.
Work towards HR Level 3 qualification.
Main Responsibilities:
To deal with routine HR/ pay/ recruitment queries, and documentation in accordance with customer service standards.
To assist with the processing and resourcing of recruitment vacancies covering all aspects of recruitment activities and routine transactions covering all aspects of HR transactional activities, ensuring accurate HR records and timescales are maintained.
To input and maintain information the on-line recruitment portal and HR database and other associated systems, both electronic and manual systems.
To input, maintain data and retrieve management information/ HR recruitment as per weekly/ monthly schedules.
To input, maintain, generate and present HR reports and management information in a user-friendly format via HR Origin database and other associated systems as required.
To contribute to service improvements and propose changes to transactional processes where necessary.
To work collaboratively with other HR colleagues to ensure the delivery of innovative, timely and cost effective transactional policies, procedures and practices which support the achievement of organisational aims and objectives.
To undertake other duties in line with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.
Person Specification:
Knowledge:
- 5 GCSEs, Grades A-C or equivalent including Maths and English, or equivalent.
Experience:
- Experience of working with IT systems.
- Experience of working in a team environment.
- Desirable experience of working within a administrative environment
Key Skills:
- Good IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to enter information accurately, ensuring attention to detail, using appropriate IT systems
- Ability to present information clearly and concisely
