Description
An exciting opportunity to join the team at Café du Parc, a fabulous French themed bistro style café and start your career in hospitality.
Main Responsibilities:
To undertake food preparation and cooking of items as directed by the Head Chef
Main Duties:
To carry out food preparations according to the standards set out by the Head Chef.
To follow instructions, observing the rules set by the cafe by law regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating and storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control, reporting of faulty equipment and reporting of notifiable diseases.
To attend training courses, learning events for his/her further training and development.
To undertake some cleaning duties of kitchen equipment, facilities and other items as directed
To comply with all Company policies and procedures.
To comply with statutory requirements regarding the work place such as employment law, health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention etc.
To carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the kitchen
Entry requirements
Some experience cooking or working in hospitality would be an advantage but not essential.
Training to be provided
Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship
16 - 18 year olds - Functional Skills in Maths & English if required.
19+ - Functional Skills in Maths & English optional.

Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will hold a Level 2 Production Chef qualification and the opportunity to progress to Level 3.
