Vacancy Description:
- Respond to client inquiries and provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and chat
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Escalate complex issues to second-line support or relevant departments
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and support activities in our ticketing system
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software
- Provide guidance and training to clients on IT best practices and usage
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of client issues.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with common software applications and networking concepts
- Understanding of cloud technologies, such as Microsoft 365
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
Personal Qualities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality support
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
