This is a hybrid role, working from home with travel, as required, to client sites across the UK.
About the Role
This role is due to start in October 2025.
Offering full training and support, Whitetree are looking for a Bid & Proposal Coordinator Apprentice to join our Business Winning team. You’ll be guided through your apprenticeship with a mentor, tutor and skills coach while learning from and working with our own experts in the Business Winning team.
You will support the quality and timely completion of proposal submissions – including organising meetings, structuring and writing proposal content, co-ordinating relevant activities and document management. This varied role requires an analytical mindset as you’ll be involved in commercial activity such as sector analysis, trend analysis, contract law and developing strategies to win business for a variety of services.
In return for your positive ‘can do’ attitude, high energy and motivation you’ll rapidly gain skills during your apprenticeship. On successful completion of your 15-month apprenticeship, you’ll progress to a Junior Consultant position in Business Winning, providing direct bid coordination support to both clients and Whitetree on a variety of bids and proposals.
The Bid & Proposal Apprentice will be trained to:
- Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ)/Selection Questionnaire (SQ) documents
- Draft answers to quality questions and edit technical teams’ proposal responses to produce to produce clear and uniformed copy
- Project manage the timely delivery of copy and pricing from colleagues
- Support the production and delivery of compliant proposal documents and presentation materials within client defined timeframes
Other responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring bid emails and alerts, registering and maintaining online tender portals
- Arranging and attending bid kick off meetings
- Providing support to the Business Winning team
- Tracking new project/framework opportunities
- Assisting with the preparation of kick-off documents and case study identification
- Disseminating and communicating client tender clarifications
- Supporting recording and sharing lessons learnt and best practice
- Providing support to both Whitetree and clients on bids and proposals as part of the business winning team
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s A*- C/9-4 including English and mathematics or equivalent.
- An interest in bid management or bid writing.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within limited time frames.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A love for learning and a self-motivated approach to continuous improvement.
- Current right to live and work in the UK.
- Willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check.
- Willingness and ability to work from home and travel for client engagements, including overnight stays away from home and around the UK when required.
