We have a great opportunity for an apprentice electrician. This position is ideal for a school leaver (16-18 years old) or anybody who is eager to make a change and qualify as an electrician.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the apprentice electrician will work as part of a team engineers working on projects either at head office or at one of our customers sites.
As an apprentice electrician you will gain knowledge, and skills required for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role involves both manual labour and technical proficiency, with responsibilities growing as you gains skill and experience.
You will be required to work supervised initially, with the aim being able to work unsupervised in the future and manage your work priorities to meet expected deadlines.
The role allows individuals to develop their electrical skills, allowing electricians to work across a full range of electrical systems across multiple manufacturing sectors including Food, Pharmaceutical, Gas, Medical, FMCG, and Energy
Apprentices are required to be disciplined, self-motivated, showing good ability in logical and analytical thinking.
- Electrical installation

- Assembly of Control Panels and associated automation equipment.

We will provide you with full support and coaching throughout your training with the goal of supporting you to a fully qualified role and building more specialist knowledge and experience in electrical design and/or software application.
To support you in your role, as part of the electrical apprenticeship programme you will attend JTL training centre, working towards a level 3 electrical & electrical Installation (C&G 2357) qualification over 3 -5 years with the option to obtain AM2 qualification.
Future prospects are available within the company to enhance your education and
become part of the electrical design and/or software application team.
3 GCSE’s grade 4 and above (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science

The salary for this role will increase incrementally in line with your progression through the course.
Year 1 salary £8.16 working
Year 2 salary £10.60 (dependant on successful completion of year 1 studies)
Year 3 salary £13.05 (dependant on successful completion of year 2 studies)
Year 4 salary £14.03 (dependant on successful completion of year 3 studies)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5 days per week. During college term time 1 of the 5 days will be spent at college. During college holidays, you will work 5 days per week. You will be required to attend work for 8 hours per day Mon-Thursday and 7 hours on Friday, with a 30 minute paid break.If you are required to work overtime; time and a half paid after 39 hours worked weekday and Saturday morning. After five hours on Saturday, it moves too double time and Sunday will be paid at double time.
