This is an excellent opportunity to kick start your hairdressing career as a Hair Professional Level 2 Apprentice studying one day a week at college, whilst working with an experienced hair salon who has its own training program which will run alongside your college training.

Looking to attract a committed person who will really engage with the training to become a valued member of the team, this busy salon in Bognor Regis has the motto “Our goal is to make life more beautiful for everybody”

To be part of this journey, this apprenticeship will offer you the chance for practical learning with 1 day will be spent at college and the remaining days at the salon making up a full-time position working 5 days over 7. Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Acting as an ambassador of the salon
Working closely with the stylists preparing the salon to receive clients
Support the business in all areas, maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Welcoming client and visitors
Assisting with client refreshments and gowning up clients
Keep up to date with product knowledge
Maintaining effective hygienic and safe working work methods
Offer a high level of customer satisfaction
Attending college and undertaking training as directed to the completion of the apprenticeship

Working Week: 39 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 as per rota set. 1 day attendance at Chichester College

Salary: £15,311.40 as per the Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage – see below for further details

Qualifications Required: Math and English Minimum Grade 2 will be required for this apprenticeship role.

Future Prospects: Prospect of growing to be a key member of the team, with potential for an offer of progressing to the level 3 apprenticeship role once the level 2 apprenticeship is successfully completed.

Things to consider

This role is based in Bognor Regis with any required attendance at college in Chichester.
There is an emphasis on teamwork so it will be essential that you will be willing and able to contribute to ideas and share in goals.
You MUST BE free from full time education to be eligible to apply for an apprenticeship.
You MUST BE resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to the start of learning and have work authorisation for the UK.
You MUST BE resident in the area local to the apprenticeship opportunity or be prepared to relocate in time to start employment and study.
24-month apprenticeship (training period) excluding End Point Assessment of 3 months

Further Information: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour (As of the 1st April 2024).This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate
