Joirvik dental Practice is a private dental practice located in Nether Poppleton. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their dental experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed about their treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with practice protocols.
- Sterilise instruments and manage infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, appointments, and aftercare instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient management.
- Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to enhance patient care.
- Reception duties like answering the phone and helping to book patient appointments.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential to undertake the course
- Enjoy working as part of a team, and are a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care
- Happy to be a key player in the team providing chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
- Comfortable learning to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting
