IT Support Technician Higher Apprenticeship - ACIT Solutions Ltd
ACIT Solutions Ltd is an established IT Solution Provider for small businesses in Wickford. Our goal is to provide the highest levels of customer satisfaction to our hundreds of customers, providing them with the right solutions they need for their businesses to flourish.
ACIT Solutions are seeking an individual to join our technical support team. We are looking for strong, confident workers who are capable of installing, configuring and supporting a broad range of IT solutions to fit our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT installation, configuration and support services to our clients.
- Be confident with clients via telephone, remote web access and on-site visits.
- Ensure client enquiries and requests are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding, in progress and completed work.
- Communicate technical advice to clients with differing IT knowledge levels.
- Assisting and being assisted by colleagues to provide prompt customer resolutions.
Desirable skills:
- Experience in Outsourced IT Helpdesk/IT Support for a broad range of IT issues.
- Knowledge of current IT technologies such as Networks, OS’s and Hardware.
- Microsoft 365 application/portal support.
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and IIS configuration and administration.
- Experience configuring Routers/Servers for VPN/VLAN/DHCP/DNS/RG/IIS/SSL.
- Able to build a Microsoft Server 2022 with AD/RG/IIS from Scratch.
- Have outstanding computer literacy and some knowledge of Sage solutions.
- Act with integrity and respect when interacting with clients, employees and suppliers.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
Entry requirements:
- An A-Level in ICT
- OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 ICT
- OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
- OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

37.5 hours per week
