We are now recruiting for an apprentice to join our small but growing administrative team to help support senior managers in the Education Division. You will work closely with the Service Support Officer to help provide support to senior managers, working alongside the PA to Head of Education and Business Administrators within the team. Our administrators provide a key support service to senior managers, allowing them to provide an effective and efficient service to the residents and the families of East Sussex.

The role will be varied, with key tasks including monitoring of inboxes, tracking correspondence that comes into the service, assisting meeting organisation, and taking meeting minutes. As part of your role, you will need to liaise with senior managers and stakeholders regularly therefore, good written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

We are looking for an apprentice who is willing to learn and develop their skills. In addition, you should have good organisational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will also have some knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel but does not need previous experience of administration. Training in all aspects of the role will be given as part of the apprenticeship.

This apprenticeship is for a fixed term of 18 months.

For the purposes of enrolment on to the apprenticeship training course, we cannot accept applications from candidates with a qualification equal to or above in a related subject, or with more than 12-24 months of work experience in an administration role.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
