Summary
We are seeking a Commis to join our culinary team to assist with the preparation and production of meals, assist with the preparation, production of special functions and catering requests.
Working in a team of 5 you will be trained in all the basic functions in every section of the kitchen. 1 day per week Commis Chef Level 2 at Booth Lane campus over a 12 month period
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the food preparation process for restaurant, room service, conference, and banqueting events.
- Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes.
- Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
- Assisting other Chefs.
- Helping with deliveries and restocking.
- Assisting with stock rotation cleaning stations.
Requirements
- Good hand to eye coordination
- Creative and passionate about food
- Have excellent communication skills
- Motivated and keen to learn and develop.
- Excellent timekeeping and good work ethic
- Ability to work flexibly within a team
- GCSE grade 3 minimum in maths and English or equivalent
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: £7.55 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
