An excellent route into the construction industry, apprentices will be taught to prepare and paint surfaces correctly, maintain and repair damage to water and sanitary systems, tiled surfaces, small patch plastering, electrical repairs and maintenance, joinery repair and replace and repairs to masonry brick and slabbed areas. Learners will gain knowledge of legal and Health, Safety and welfare requirements to enable them to work on Construction sites. Learning to work individually and/or as part of a team is embedded into practical tasks to ensure they become responsible for their own work and focus on achieving a high-quality finish at an appropriate pace. Learners are encouraged to develop good problem-solving skills and become efficient communicators and will be able to interact effectively with colleagues, clients and associated trades.
A minimum GCSE grade of 3 in BOTH Maths & English is required to start this role.
