... a confident Welsh speaker looking to start a career in translation? Are you organised, hardworking and reliable, and ready to learn? If you are keen to develop your Welsh language skills and understanding of the translation process in a professional setting and gain an Apprenticeship qualification in Translation Practice at the same time, this may be the role for you.

Strong understanding of Welsh and English – you have strong Welsh and English skills and pay attention to detail.
Willingness to learn – You are always ready to ask for help and take advantage of constructive feedback to improve.
Organisational and time management skills – You are able to work independently and to deadlines and prioritising tasks accordingly.
IT skills – You are confident in using Microsoft packages to complete your work effectively.
What we can offer you?

An Apprenticeship Qualification in Translation Practice with a supportive provider. You will need to be a minimum of 18 years old to apply for this role.

A 24 month contract in the translation team
- The right training and support to fulfil the role, this will include online e-learning, face to face training and shadowing.

A full induction and ongoing support from your line manager and the team.

Competitive rates of pay (National Living Wage).

At the end of the fixed term contract, there may be opportunities to be appointed to a role subject to availability, suitability, and individual performance.
As part of the recruitment process, you will need to:
Attend an in-person recruitment day on Wednesday 23rd July.
If you are successful at the recruitment day you will be invited to attend an interview with the team on the 7th or 8th August 2025.
You must be available for these dates as no alterative dates will be available.
