We are looking for an apprentice groom to join our team. Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-3, Thursday and Friday mornings 9-12 can be flexible on the 1/2 days
As an apprentice training will be given and you have the choice of completing your level 2 or 3 Horse Care and Riding, or BHS stages. Haddon Training is the service provider.
Some horse experience necessary.
Job entails:
General yard duties and field husbandry, feeding. Getting horses ready for lessons and assisting riding instructors in lessons and rallies when necessary, taking out hacks. Driving the quad and tractor to put big bales out. All horses live out 24/7. Tack cleaning, general yard duties and field husbandry.
As a Riding School we specialise in Rider Biomechanics and Equine body work. As well as riding lessons we hold Connected Riding & TTouch Clinics and Workshops. Equine body work, ground work and rehab. If you have an interest in learning more about this training is available.
Must have a passion for horses, be reliable, trustworthy, fun and have experience of handling horses and yard work. No live in so must be local to Monmouth, FOD area.
Training available.
Excellent opportunity for the right person. Must be under 13 stone to ride the horses.
Apprenticeship wage so would suit a younger person.
