Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:
- Solve Technical Support Tickets: Take the lead in investigating and resolving technical issues raised by customers and internal users.
- Monitor Backups: Keep backup systems running smoothly by managing processes and handling physical media like tapes.
- Provide Internal IT Support: Help colleagues with day-to-day tech issues to keep operations running efficiently.
- Communicate with Customers: Explain solutions clearly and professionally via phone, email, or chat.
- Maintain Hardware: Replace faulty equipment and ensure devices are operating properly.
- Support Cloud Environments: Maintain customer cloud systems for optimal performance and uptime.
- Ensure Data Security: Verify that data backups are securely stored offsite and perform regular checks.
- Collaborate and Escalate: Work with your team to troubleshoot complex issues and escalate them when needed.
- Follow ISMS Protocols: Uphold our Information Security Management System policies and procedures.
- Offer After-Hours Support: Occasionally support customers outside of normal working hours, as agreed with your manager.
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

After this apprenticeship
- As well as the chance to receive full on-the-job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you’ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications
- The company also aims to offer the apprentice a permanent role at the end of the training (subject to successfully completing course and objectives.)
