Due to ongoing growth, we're looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Compliance Manager to join our team.
The Role: As an Apprenticeship Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing compliance across our funded programmes. Your key responsibilities will include reviewing, submitting, and managing Individual Learner Record (ILR) submissions, reviewing PDSAT reports, managing our learner management system (APTEM), and leading on tender writing and submissions.
The post holder will attend relevant internal and external meetings to ensure that all the stakeholders involved in Apprenticeship delivery are made aware of any new requirements and risks that have evolved and work with the wider business to resolve these issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage compliance activities across Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, and other government-funded programmes.
- Review, prepare, and submit accurate ILR data to ensure compliance with DfE and other regulatory body guidelines to ensure timely remittance of payments to KBC.
- Act as the primary administrator and expert user of the APTEM learner management system, ensuring data accuracy, system functionality, and ongoing enhancements.
- Responsibility for completing Funding Tokens in the LMS (APTEM) for new intake programmes, ensuring accurate data input including RPEL calculations.
- Ensure the wider stakeholders are aware of any changes to the DfE funding rules and implement changes to any required documentation or process.

- Monitor ILR returns through PDSAT to identify areas of risk and implement appropriate actions to mitigate.
- Oversee the tendering process for new funding opportunities, including researching, writing, and submitting compelling and compliant tender proposals.
- Regularly audit programme records and documentation to ensure adherence to funding rules and regulatory standards.
- Provide training and support to the operational team to ensure compliance processes are clearly understood and correctly implemented.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, respond effectively to compliance queries, and prepare the organisation for external audits and inspections.
- Monitor and report regularly on compliance KPIs and performance metrics, identifying and resolving any issues proactively.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification or proven track record in Apprenticeship compliance.
- Proven experience in managing compliance within Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, or similar government-funded programmes.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience of ILR submissions, ESFA funding rules, and compliance regulations.
- Hands-on experience with learner management systems such as APTEM.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
Desirable:
- To have a detailed understanding of the requirements for apprenticeship programmes and quality measures of apprenticeships.
- Experience of Line management.
- Experience managing compliance within adult education and training environments.
- Track record in writing successful tenders and securing funding opportunities.
