As an Apprentice Warehouse Operative, you will be supporting the smooth running of our warehouse operations, assisting with the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Working closely with our Warehouse Manager and experienced Warehouse Operatives, you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are key. The key day-to-day tasks will include picking and packing orders, managing stock levels, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised, and safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify & pick from location in line with Wmanager
- Ensure picks are checked & dispatched
- Secure pallets safely for storage & movement using the appropriate equipment
- Pack small item picks securely & safely
- Assist in loading vehicles safely
- Understand how to weigh items correctly
- Correctly identify pallet/consignment totals with goods in
- Assist with checking description & quantity of goods in
- Check system & physical locations for accuracy (stock check)
- Correctly transfer stock from locations
- Understanding of how grass cuts are labelled.
- Safely use a Pump truck.
- Basic understanding of Mr Pick.
- Communicate effectively to operations regarding pick jobs/delivery dates
- Understand the basic company H&S policy & complete the relevant questionnaires
- Ensure Correct PPE is worn
- Ensure warehouse bins are emptied.
- Understand recycling in the workplace
- Ensure floors are clear of rubbish and swept.
- Correct reporting of any delivery, pick or assembly discrepancies
