Your role
Paralegal work within a team helping to manage and collect information and prepare it for use by the team – client interaction and interaction with other professionals is very likely.
- Working with a designated legal team
- Drafting documents and emails
- Collecting and storing information
- Interacting with clients and others
- Attending Court with team members
- Attending meetings with team members
- Working with legal software management systems
- Working with online legal applications including those for Civil Procedure Rules
- Conducting Research
Working week
- It will involve a 37.5-hour working week
- Monday to Friday with some flexibility to work from home.
- Lunch break – one hour
- Mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks as and when.
- 9.00 to 17.30 guidelines for office attendance
Desired skills
- Due to the Apprenticeship funding criteria candidates with an LLB would not be eligible for this position, therefore we are unable to consider their application
- Local viable commute essential
- 4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's
- Confident with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
- Good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
- Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
- Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
- The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- Good client care skills

Training to be provided
- You will complete the Paralegal Apprenticeship
- This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
- This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
