Anross Ltd is a long-established company, principally specialising in the manufacture and repair of equipment used on the Construction, Quarrying and Waste Disposal industries. As a result of recent steady growth, we are addressing our future workforce requirements and initially we are looking to employ an Apprentice Plater/ Welder.
The successful applicant will primarily operate in our Fabrication Department where training will be given and experience will be gained in MIG Welding, Bending and Forming, Rolling, Hand Burning, Grinding, CNC Profile Burning (Oxy-Fuel and Plasma), Painting, etc.
However, training will not be restricted to one department, as we feel that it is essential for you to understand the operations undertaken in all departments. You will therefore gain supplementary experience in our Machine Shop (CNC and Manual Lathes, Drilling, Boring, Milling, Sawing, etc) and Fitting Shop (Assembly and Dismantling,Hydraulic Assembly and Testing, etc.)
Entry requirements
GCSE'S grade 4 or above in Maths and English.
Training to be provided

Things to consider
Travelling to the business on a daily basis which is based in Consett.
