This is a hands-on role within a supportive team, in a fast-paced environment, offering valuable experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations and other financial responsibilities. A positive can-do attitude and enthusiasm are essential, and you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you learn during your studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing and billing: create, send and track customer invoices
- Purchase invoices: create and process purchase invoices in the bookkeeping system, match them with PO numbers
- Moderation: check CRM system, online portals and spreadsheets to confirm jobs are fully paid
- Data entry: input and maintain accurate financial records
- General Finance admin: assist with day-to-day finance team tasks
- Learning and using a custom-built CRM system and other online portals
- Learning and using spreadsheets and developing other core financial skills.
This role will suit someone who is comfortable working with numbers and has a high level of accuracy in handling financial data and an existing understanding of basic financial calculations. Discretion and having an understanding of the importance of handling sensitive financial information will be imperative.

Working Week: 30 hours per week – Monday to Friday including 6 hours per week study with attendance at Crawley College when required
Salary: £11,778 per annum in line with the Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage and reverting to the National Minimum Wage, age dependent, after the first year.
Qualifications Required: GCSE Math and English minimum grade 4 required
Future Prospects: There is the potential for a full-time job upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

- This is a 18-month apprenticeship including end point assessment.
- Applicants MUST BE resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to the start of learning and have work authorisation for the UK.
- Applicants WILL NOT BE eligible to apply if they have already achieved a qualification which is equal to or higher thank the apprenticeship standard on offer.
- Applicants MUST BE resident in the area local to the apprenticeship opportunity or be prepared to relocate in time to start employment and study.
- Applicants MUST BE committed to the learning and stay to the end of the apprenticeship.
Further Information: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £7.55 per hour (As of the 1st April 2025). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16- to 18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
