About the role
As a Finance Apprentice in our Customer Payments team, you’ll learn on the job while working towards a recognised qualification - gaining hands-on experience and building strong foundations for a rewarding career.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers have a smooth and timely payment experience, helping them stay on track with rent and avoid arrears. Your work will support the processing of over 500,000 transactions a year, contributing to the management of our rental income and improving customer outcomes.
Working with bespoke finance systems, Excel, and CRM tools, you’ll develop valuable skills in income processing, payments and customer experience. It’s a fast-paced role with clear routines and deadlines - ideal for someone with great attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £22,932 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
About you
- A willingness to work towards a recognised qualification while gaining hands-on experience.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
- A basic understanding of customer service and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to balance work and study.
- Clear, confident communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
- A reliable work ethic with attention to detail and a drive to learn and improve.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence in following instructions and working under supervision.
- Strong computer literacy and a willingness to learn finance systems and tools.
Interviews

Stage 1: A Place to Connect
An assessment centre where you’ll spend a half day with us. We’ll give you an introduction to Accent and you’ll take part in some Group Exercises where we’ll be assessing your teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the team and chat to one of our current Apprentices about their experience.

Stage 2: A Place to Show Your Strengths
A behavioural and scenario-based interview focused on how you apply your knowledge to real-life situations. You'll be asked to complete a Customer Service Questionnaire in advance.
Planned date: 16th September via Teams.
