We are a busy extended hour pharmacy and are looking to offer two Apprenticeships in Pharmacy Level 3 Trainee Technician.
The candidate will work with customers on the counter in the busy pharmacy and dispensary.
The main duties will include:
1. Assist in the sale of over the counter medicines.
2. Complete prescription receipt and collection .
3. Ordering, receiving and storing pharmaceutical stock .
4. Liaising with customers in all areas of sales, including specialized products providing a highly personalised approach.
5. Managing stock levels, replenishing and cleaning sales areas.
6. Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against orders and inform supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
7. Processing payments of various kinds, using the till, including handling of cash and credit/debit cards.
8. Assisting in the reconciliation of the till at the end of each shift if requested to do so by the manager.
9. Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
10. Maintaining awareness of market trends and advertising, updating sales display areas.
11. Dealing with sales as and when required, serve customers showing high standards of customer care at all times, providing a helpful and friendly service, in order to maximise sales.
12. To utilise specialist product knowledge when required.
13. To maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
14. To complete compulsory training as required.
15. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
16. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
17. Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring medication supplies.
18. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
19. To carry out other duties which naturally fall within the reasonable expectations of the role.
This apprenticeship is work based learning therefore you will be working at the employer's address and your course will be offered remotely with a chosen training provider.
Successful candidate will be placed on a level 3 pharmacy technician course.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is desirable , but not compulsory.
- Must have Maths and English Level 2 and above.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
