About Us
At Archbishop Temple Church of England High School, we believe that every child has the right to
thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. We are a high-achieving, non-selective
secondary school based in Preston, Lancashire, which from September 2025 will support over 900
pupils aged 1116. Our ethos is underpinned in Matthews Gospel 5:14-16 and in the Christian values
of the Church of England and the vision of the Blackburn Diocese: to be a church that sees all,

We offer a traditional academic curriculum enriched by outstanding provision in sport, music,

About the Role:
We are looking for a Business Support Apprentice to join our business and administration team
contributing to the successful running of the school office.
The successful candidate will be working within a busy office undertaking a varied range of duties.
This is a two-year apprentice post achieving Business Administration level 3. The 1st year will be at
the apprentice rate of £7.55 per hour, the second year will vary depending on the age of the
successful candidate. Continuation after the apprenticeship is not guaranteed and will depend on
available budget and operational needs at the time.

The qualification delivery partner is through Lancashire County Council arrangements and is work
based within the school setting via online learning, tutor and mentor support.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
