Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team looking after a Nursery of 42 children. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and wish to gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting. As an Apprentice, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. You will work closely with experienced practitioners to develop your skills in childcare management and leadership.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Support the daily care routines of children, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote strong relationships.
- Observe and record children's progress and development, providing feedback to senior staff.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential; a keen interest in childcare is vital.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children and families.
- Maths and English Level 2 Functional Skills is required.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential to facilitate travel if necessary.

Hours and Pay
- Approximately 25 hours or more per week
- Hourly Rate is confirmed at interview based off of experience and age.
The successful candidate will be offered a work based apprenticeship within a supportive team, with the ability to expand their learning skills and work in a well known and supported nursery.

Pay: £10,420.00-£30,649.30 per year
