Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. This role is designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while developing essential skills in patient care and pharmacy operations. The Apprentice will work closely with experienced professionals, learning the intricacies of medication administration and pharmacy technician duties.
Duties
- Assist in providing patient care under the supervision of qualified staff.
- Support pharmacy technicians in daily operations, including inventory management and medication preparation.
- Learn and adhere to medication administration protocols, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and patient interaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following health and safety regulations.
- Engage with patients to provide information and support as required, fostering a positive experience.
Experience
- Previous experience or interest in patient care is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with pharmacy technician responsibilities is a plus, although comprehensive training will be provided.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is crucial for success in this role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential attributes for candidates.
