We’re offering an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity at our Morpeth centre, in partnership with The College of Animal Welfare, for someone who wants to learn, grow, and work hands-on with dogs every day.

About the Apprenticeship

As a Junior Dog Day Care Assistant Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience while studying towards your Level 2 Animal Care Apprenticeship with The College of Animal Welfare.

You’ll learn the skills and knowledge needed to provide high standards of animal welfare and care, supported both by our experienced team and professional tutors from The College of Animal Welfare.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising and caring for a variety of dogs throughout the day
Supporting play, feeding, and enrichment activities
Ensuring the play areas are clean, safe, and stimulating
Monitoring dog behaviour and welfare
Assisting with cleaning and maintaining the day care environment

What We’re Looking For

A genuine love and passion for dogs
A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Ability to work well within a team and use your own initiative
Willingness to learn and complete the apprenticeship programme
Previous experience with dogs is a bonus, but full training will be provided

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
