About Us
We are a busy, forward-thinking community pharmacy and Clinic committed to offering stellar patient-care services and a dynamic working environment. We are now offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Dispenser Apprentice. This is a fantastic stepping-stone for someone looking to begin a long-term career in pharmacy and healthcare.
The Opportunity
As an Apprentice Pharmacy Dispenser you will be enrolled with our approved training provider and work towards your pharmacy-dispenser qualification while earning and learning on the job. On successful completion you will have the skills and credential to work as a qualified dispenser, with excellent long-term prospects.
Your role will include:
- Working in the dispensary preparing and labelling medications according to prescriptions, for final checking by the pharmacist.
- Answering telephone calls from patients, responding to enquiries, and providing friendly, professional service.
- Supporting front-of-shop reception duties: greeting patients, serving customers, helping with over-the-counter queries, and liaising closely with the clinical pharmacist.
- Most excitingly: joining our robot blister-pack machine team. You will help organise, produce and pack blister-packs using a robotic machine, working alongside the robot-lead. Once trained you will have the opportunity to operate the production process independently.
This role offers the chance to develop both your technical pharmacy skills and customer service skills, and build a rewarding career pathway.
