Johnston and Deans Upholstery LTD is a specialist business committed to high quality craftsmanship and developing talent. We're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an apprentice upholsterer, learn the trade and progress their career.
Duties
- Assist in stripping down furniture frames and preparing them for reupholstery.
- Learn and assist with applying padding, webbing, springs and fabrics/leather.
- Cut fabrics/foam, match patterns, secure upholstery finishes under supervision.
- Operate and learn use of hand tools, staple guns and sewing machines etc.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop enviroment.
- Attend off-the-job training and college sessions as part of the apprenticeship.
What we are looking for
- A willingness to learn, good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Practical, hands-on mindset and ability to work in a workshop enviornment.
- Basic numeracy & literacy (GCSEs in Maths & English preferred but not always essential).
- Reliable, punctual, good team-working skills and adaptable.

Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
