Description

A Business Administration Apprentice at Zen Engineering supports the day-to-day running of the office and helps keep projects organised. The role involves answering phone calls and emails, scheduling jobs for engineers, updating spreadsheets and calendars, and helping with general office tasks such as filing and data entry.

As the apprentice develops throughout the course, they will begin assisting with quotations, purchase orders, and communication between clients, suppliers, and the engineering team. This role provides a strong foundation in business administration and offers the opportunity to learn how an engineering company operates from the inside out.

Entry requirements

Desired skills + qualities:

A driving license would be preferred, but not essential for the right candidate
Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
Live in, or near, Burscough or Ormskirk
Previous experience would be a bonus, but not essential for the right candidate
IT skills would be a bonus
Good written and spoken communication skills are essential due to the nature of the role
Must be trustworthy, reliable and adaptable

Training to be provided

Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training, remotely, twice a month.

You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your apprenticeship.

You will be required to complete assessments and portfolio work during your tutor led meetings and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.

The employer will mentor and coach you on the job. You will also shadow, learn and get involved in all aspects of your administrative role with our office manager.

You will attend dedicated tutor led meetings hosted via MS Teams and gather any on the job evidence needed to supplement your studies.
