Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice to join our team and develop their skills in a practical, hands-on environment. We are an electrical and mechanical engineering company, operating from our Middlesbrough base, across the UK. We predominantly work within the Food and Beverage manufacturing sector. Accomodation and food allowance paid on out of town work.
This paid position offers valuable experience in industrial electrical work, providing a foundation for future career progression. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills. The successful applicant will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship, which generally takes 4 years to complete. College study will be on block release.
Duties
- Assist electricians with installation tasks using hand tools and power tools.
- Support electrical work by preparing materials and following safety protocols under supervision.
- Learn to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times. Note the site based element of this Apprenticeship will take place with industrial enviroments.
Skills
- Basic proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, side cutters.
- Experience or familiarity with power tools is advantageous.
- Electrical experience or understanding of electrical systems is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is crucial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Enthusiasm for technical work and continuous learning.
- Driving Licence requried.
- Must have GCSE Grade 4+ in Maths and English.
