What this opportunity involves:
JLL are excited to open applications for our 2026 Apprenticeship program. We are seeking an Apprentice Building Services Engineer to join our team in Derby. This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in . The successful candidate will be provided with specialised training, which combines working towards an externally accredited and assessed NVQ qualification, developing new skills and gaining valuable experience whilst working on the job. On completion of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be a fully qualified Building Services Engineer, responsible for working towards excellent standards of quality and safety in all aspects of their work. Following a successful apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for the right individual to progress into a permanent role within JLL.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance and commissioning of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems. Support maintenance and repair tasks to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute installation tasks effectively. Participate in site visits and inspections to assess system performance and compliance with standards. Help in troubleshooting issues and performing necessary adjustments or repairs. Develop an understanding of health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements:
GCSE English (minimum grade 4) and Maths (minimum grade 4) There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Health and safety-conscious mindset.
