Ridgeway Primary Academy is a successful 2 form entry 0 -11 years primary school in Burntwood. Our Good Ofsted rating was reconfirmed during our recent inspection in January 2022. We currently have 416 pupils on roll in the main school and a further 200 children accessing our extensive early years services: Ridgeway Rainbow Tots (providing either a morning or full day sessions for 2 year olds); Sunbeams Nursery (providing nursery education and extended care during school term time) and Sunny Days Nursery (providing care and education from 6 weeks – 5 years and open for 50 weeks of the year)
Overview of role:
Ridgeway Primary Academy has a new and an exciting opportunity for a Clerical/Finance Assistant to join our school. The Clerical/Finance Assistant will join our office team to provide general clerical, administrative and financial support to the school.
Key details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 4pm), 35 hrs per week
- Term-time only (38 weeks per year)
- Wage: £6,40 per hour
- Location:Grange Road, Chasetown, Burntwood, Staffordshire, WS7 4TU
Apprenticeship details:
- Qualification: Level 3 Business Administration
- Duration of course: 18 months
- Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated No 1 Training Provider in the UK!)
- All learning delivered online/ remotely alongside role.
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake reception duties, answer routine telephone and face-to-face enquiries, and sign in visitors.
- Assist with arrangements for visits from relevant external bodies (e.g., school nurse, photographer).
- Provide routine clerical support, such as photocopying, filing, emailing, and completing routine forms.
- Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems and respond to queries.
- Undertake routine typing and word-processing on an ad hoc basis.
- Sort, distribute, and record mail.
- Undertake routine administration tasks, including managing registers and school meals.
- Operate office equipment (e.g., photocopier, computer).
- Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies.
- Undertake routine financial administration, such as collecting and recording dinner money.
- Deliver basic first aid and administer medicines.
