ABN was founded in 2009 by Daniel Overy after gaining experience within multiple areas of the security industry. Their growing team of engineers have over 40 years’ experience between them.

ABN is focused on offering great customer service and unbeatable value for money. Since 2009 they have seen year on year growth which is mainly thanks to returning customers and referrals from their ever growing base of happy clients.

With their extensive product knowledge in CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry and Fire Detection Systems they are able to tailor design proposals, installations and maintenance plan services to suit homes and business’.

Due to business growth ABN are now looking to recruit an office based apprentice to support with the future proofing of the business and service demand. They are keen to offer an individual the chance to secure an office based career within the fire and security sector.

Learning is completed remotely and individually.

The apprentice will work across all areas within the office function.

You will be required to provide administrative support with the company’s day-to-day operational requirements.

Scheduling jobs
Scheduling engineers
Triaging customer care communications
Orders and purchasing
Sorting parcels and assigning to relevant active jobs.
Ensuring that company stationery, stock and supplies are maintained and up to date.
Speaking with suppliers where necessary to order stock/parts.
Maintain and updating client records.
Carry out all general administration duties

Entry requirements

Live local to the office
Strong IT Skills
Excellent Communication Skills
No criminal record
Must have an analytical ability
Must have GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C or above
18 plus

Training to be provided

Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training, remotely, twice a month.

You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your dedicated tutor led meetings on MS Teams and gather any on the job evidence needed to supplement your studies.
