About the Role

We have a number of exciting opportunities across our business to join us as an Apprentice Data Analyst.
This two-year apprenticeship provides you with the opportunity to develop skills in data management, process automation, and compliance – Supporting tasks such as data administration, developing and managing datasets, and analysing data to create insights that inform activities.
In addition to your work experience, you'll complete a level 4 apprenticeship in Data analysis where you'll gain academic knowledge to complement your practical work.
You will build your confidence in communicating with stakeholders across the business, as you will understand their needs, develop requirements, and deliver data-driven solutions.
We have vacancies available in the following areas of our business:
Digital
You work as part of our Innovative Digital Experience team, working on customer-facing websites and apps, with a focus on Customer Journey. You will play a key role in supporting digital propositions, helping us to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You will collaborate closely with the Digital Experience Manager to provide data-driven insights that inform future digital product development. Additionally, you will report on the impact of new digital features on both customers and the wider business..
Insights
You will be part of the Insights Team, whose focus is on creating and understanding customer insights, which are used to shape and deliver future experience improvements and our understanding of customer perception, motivation, and behaviour.
You will work with the data to provide clear and actionable customer research insights on customer experience on a regular and ad hoc basis. The actionable insight is used to drive demonstrable service and experience improvements.
Water efficiency
You will work with the Water Efficiency Programme Coordinator in the delivery of the water efficiency strategy and undertake research projects to improve understanding of the current use of water and demand management options.
You will focus on understanding and utilising smart meter data to provide analysis and insight into the way our customers use water. In turn, the actionable insight and recommendations will shape the development of new ways of engaging our customers to reduce their water demand and enhancing the existing ones.
Workforce Optimisation
You will work as a Performance analyst as part of the Workforce Optimisation Team, providing data analytics and reporting services to the business to enable effective decision making.
You will support the growing Intelligence & Analytics function at NWG through analysis, data collation and delivery of reporting services, as well as ensuring BAU activities are maintained and run on time and effectively. You bill become comfortable with Analysis of performance information with a view to recommending ways of improving business performance.
About you
If you have a keen interest in data management with a willingness to learn then we want to hear from you.
You’ll have some experience in data management, MS Office 365, and strong Excel capabilities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
This is a fast-paced role whereby you’ll be expected to meet deadlines whilst effectively managing your workload with strong prioritisation ability.
We are looking for you to have 5 GCSE's including Maths and English at grade 4 or above. You will also have a L3 qualification (A Level, L3 apprenticeship or BTEC).
Please note, you will be employed by our Training provider ATA.
