We are excited to announce a new Apprenticeship opportunity within our company.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Admin Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in business administration.
Overview
As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in various aspects of business operations, including within core business support functions (e.g. finance, IT) as well as soft and hard Facilities Management operations.
Duties
- General administration duties: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document management e.g. digital filing, storing and updating of documents, maintain and update company databases and records. Managing mail distribution, making copies, and handling basic office tasks, including documents for operatives.
- Front of House duties: Professionally welcoming guests upon arrival, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
- Handling enquiries: incoming and outgoing communications, including emails and phone calls. Taking messages and transferring calls to relevant parties.
- Meeting Room scheduling: Coordinating and confirming Meeting Room enquires appointments using calendars and scheduling systems.
- Maintaining reception area: Keeping the front desk and common areas clean and organised.
- Visitor registration: Checking in visitors, providing security passes, and maintaining visitor logs.
- Managing Key distribution: Ensuring all Keys are checked in and out
- Assisting Fleet Manager: Administration of vehicle keys
- Information provision: Answering general enquiries about the company and its service.
Skills, experience and qualities
- English and Maths qualification
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Some prior Front of House/ customer facing experience would be preferred
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Confidence to deal with key clients and customers.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Working Arrangements:
- Working pattern: Full time - 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Location: Dagenham. This is an office-based role.
- Apprenticeship: As an apprentice, you will be enrolled onto apprenticeship and expected to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship with an associated training provider. Completion of the apprenticeship will require regular attendance at workshops/courses sessions as well as independent course work and an end point assessment. Regular attendance at training (including online or in person) is expected as part of the apprenticeship, off the job learning activities will make up 20% of your time.
Salary:
£22,000 per annum
