Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kick-start their career in plumbing while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, assisting with various plumbing tasks and learning the trade.
Duties
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Learn to plumb various systems including water supply, drainage, and heating.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs.
- Support senior plumbers in diagnosing plumbing issues and implementing solutions.
- Participate in the assembly of plumbing components and systems.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on-site.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a willingness to learn the plumbing trade.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations.
- A valid commercial driving licence is a plus but not essential.
- Previous experience as a carpenter or in a related field is beneficial.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills, including welding techniques if applicable.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team environment.
