Role Details:
We have a great opportunity for a Customer Service Apprentice to join our business in our Manchester Depot.
In this role you will be working in a busy Customer Service office and will be trained to achieve the following responsibilities:
Duties will include:
- Dealing with customer enquiries regarding orders, products, and service issues (via phone, email, webchat, and post) across all platforms
- Liaising with suppliers for service and delivery queries
- Recording issues on the customer service log, analysing data, and making or initiating procedural changes to avoid future repetition
- Processing replacement orders, discounts, refunds, and returns
- Administration support for all departments
- Desired skills
- Excellent communication skills to internal and external clients and staff
- Ability to maintain a highly organised manner
- Influencing skills, can provide clear explanations
- Can handle conflicting situations with care, strong minded attitude
- Good written and verbal English
- Computer literate
- Work unsupervised under own initiative
- Listening skills
- Good understanding of percentages
- All other reasonable duties as delegated by the Operations Manager.
The Apprenticeship
This is an entry-level apprenticeship which provides the foundation knowledge skills & experience for the role of Customer Service Advisor within occupational areas in the Supply Chain industry.

Skills & Experience
Required:
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and Math's
Training to be provided
- Level 3 - Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
- As part of apprenticeship programmes, you will be required to attend regular training provided by our dedicated tutors who will visit you either at work or elsewhere that is convenient
The training will aim to improve the following:
- Understanding the difference between internal and external customers
- Knowing the internal policies and procedures, including any complaints processes and digital media policies that are relevant to you and your organisation
- Understanding your role and responsibility within your organisation and the impact of your actions on others
- Understanding the products or services that are available from your organisation and keep up to date
