Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in carpentry and construction while working alongside experienced professionals. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry, including fabrication, assembly, and joinery, while adhering to safety standards and building codes.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Learn to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
Participate in the fabrication of components for roofs, walls, and other structures.
Support the assembly of frameworks and structures by following blueprints and technical drawings.
Help with heavy lifting and moving of materials on-site as required.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Follow instructions from supervisors while developing your skills in plumb alignment and joinery techniques.

Skills

Basic knowledge of carpentry principles is advantageous but not essential; eagerness to learn is key.
Familiarity with hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, nail guns) is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
Understanding of basic electrical concepts can be beneficial for certain projects.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
