Role Overview
This is more than a sales apprenticeship — it's your launchpad into the world of logistics. You’ll receive tailored sales training aligned with JJX’s freight services, giving you the skills and knowledge to sell complex solutions with confidence. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience in CRM use, lead generation, pipeline management, and account development – all within the dynamic freight and logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Training & Development:
- Engage in a structured, hands-on sales training programme aligned specifically to freight and JJX's services
- Learn to communicate the value of JJX’s transport solutions (air, road, ocean, and domestic freight)
- Receive coaching on consultative sales techniques, objection handling, and solution-based selling
CRM Management:
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity logs in the CRM system
- Log calls, update lead status, and manage follow-up tasks
- Assist with CRM data quality and reporting for the sales team
Lead Generation & Business Development:
- Research and identify new business opportunities within target sectors
- Make outbound sales calls and send emails to introduce JJX’s services
- Support follow-up on inbound leads and enquiries
Sales Pipeline Support:
- Track and manage the sales pipeline with guidance from senior team members
- Assist in creating quotes, pricing proposals, and follow-up communications
- Support the sales team with key touchpoints and nurturing activity
Account Management:
- Help manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Assist in maintaining strong client relationships through timely communication
- Identify upselling opportunities in line with customer needs
Industry Insight & Reporting:
- Learn key freight and logistics terms, services, and processes
- Stay up to date on market developments and customer demands
- Contribute to internal reporting and sales meetings
Who We're Looking For
- A confident communicator with an interest in sales and logistics
- Motivated to learn and develop in a high-growth industry
- Organised, curious, and proactive
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Comfortable with phone-based conversations and learning digital tools
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths preferred
