At Tiny Toes Day Nursery, we are a family run and owned setting who care for children aged 3 months – 5 years. We provide a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive. With two welcoming nursery settings and a strong emphasis on high-quality, child-centred care, our passionate team plays a key role in shaping each child’s early experiences.
The Role:
We’re currently looking for two enthusiastic Early Years Apprentices to join our friendly teams – one at each of our nursery locations. Whether you're starting your journey in childcare or building on existing experience, we offer a supportive environment to help you learn and grow.
This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely passionate about working with children and wants to gain a recognised qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) while working hands-on in a professional nursery setting.
We are open to candidates from all walks of life. In particular, we welcome applications from those with life experience—for example, parents returning to work or individuals seeking a new career path in childcare. We’re especially interested in people who bring maturity, empathy, and a real-world understanding of children's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 0-5 years
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Work alongside experienced staff to maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Observe and record children’s progress with support from your team
- Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families
- Help children develop their physical skills and independence
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Willingness to complete a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to learning
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to gain a clean Enhanced DBS (we’ll help you obtain one!)
- Previous experience with children (formal or informal) is a bonus but not essential
