Your working week will be varied but typical roles and responsibilities will include:
- Keeping children safe
- Supporting children’s play and Learning
- Dealing with children’s behaviour appropriately
- Being a good role model and show positive behaviour towards children

- Patience: Working with young children requires a great deal of patience and understanding. A nursery apprentice should be able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Empathy: It is important for a nursery apprentice to be able to empathise with children and understand their needs and feelings. Being able to connect with children on an emotional level is essential in providing them with the care and support they require.
- Communication skills: Effective communication is key in a nursery setting, both with children and with colleagues. A nursery apprentice should be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.
- Creativity: A nursery apprentice should be able to come up with creative and engaging activities to keep children entertained and stimulated. Being able to think outside the box and adapt activities to suit the needs of individual children is important.

Schedule:
- Working days: Monday - Friday
- Shifts between 8:00am - 6:00pm

- Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner /Educator Standard
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
Much of the training will be undertaken "on the job", supported by regular visits from a qualified assessor. There will also be a requirement for you to attend workshops on a regular basis.
