About us:
Nestled in one of the most beautiful corners of the South Lakes, Thor Atkinson Steel Fabrications Ltd are a steel fabrication company based in Ulverston. With years of experience our services include the design engineering, fabrication, supply, and installation of a wide variety of structural steelwork, plant, and buildings as well as bespoke fabrication projects. We pride ourselves in fabricating conveyors, crushers and structural work for UK quarries and across Europe.
Due to the growth of the company, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our Purchasing Team as an Apprentice.
You will provide general administration support to the team, as you progress through your qualification and learn about purchasing. Your role will develop to include more purchasing related tasks as your confidence and knowledge grows. Your working week will be Mon to Fri, 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30 min unpaid lunch break.
Key attributes:
· Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook are essential
· Outgoing personality and not be afraid of using the telephone/speaking to people
· Confident and looking for a challenge
· Willing and wanting to learn and develop
· Grade 4 and above in English Language and Maths
· An excellent communicator
