Job Role

We are looking for an apprentice accountant who can work alongside our existing team to help provide our client's with a personal and friendly service.

The role provides an apprenticeship training contract where you will receive on the job training alongside enrolment into a course programme to study for the ACA qualification.

The main duties for your day to day role would consist of:

Preparing accounts for corporate and non-corporate businesses
Preparing personal, partnership and corporate tax returns
Bookkeeping
Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
Making Tax Digital submissions
Assisting senior staff on other projects
General office administration

Experience, Skills and Qualifications required:

AAT level 4 Qualification (Candidates already working towards their AAT Qualification would also be considered)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Keen attention to detail
Desire to train to become a chartered accountant
Previous experience in an accountancy firm would be beneficial
