About the role:
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Infrastructure and the wider IT team to help maintain and support the desktops, servers, and network systems that keep their business running smoothly. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team providing first-line support across the organisation, responding to hardware and software queries through their ticketing system and delivering a high level of service to both office-based and remote colleagues
Main Responsibilities:
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles, ensuring that they know how to log in and dealing with password issues and inducting new users, as part of the onboarding process
- Offering support for the Microsoft Office bundle, Microsoft Teams and Office 365 platform
- Installing and configuring Windows and Mac computer systems, network equipment, printers and scanners
- Diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical problems either on the phone, using remote support software or face to face
- Ensuring security updates are applied
- Building and maintaining Framework laptops
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Maintaining records of software licenses
- Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies
- Updating company knowledge base documents describing common issues to enable people to troubleshoot their issues themselves
- Identify internal training requirements
- Troubleshooting internet email delivery issues and working with service providers
- Assisting with day-to-day IT duties
- Any other ad hoc duties the role may reasonably require

Knowledge & Experience
- Basic understanding of IT foundations, including PC and software
- Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to take ownership, and enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges
- Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with internal clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
- Excellent communication with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of a second language is a nice-to-have but not essential
Entry Requirements:
- You’ll need to attend an online interview with our Talent Team and pass initial assessments in maths and English once you have completed your registration.
- You will need to be within a commutable distance to the office location listed.
