Role Overview:
As an Apprentice Designer you will assist in the delivery of design projects by supporting the team with administrative and design tasks, ensuring timely learning and skill development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced designers to support the preparation of design drawings and project documentation.
- Assist in the selection and organisation of materials, gaining insight into how specifications are prepared and evaluated.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including Design, Planning, and Operations, to comprehend project requirements and constraints.
- Participate in meetings to enhance your understanding of design processes and gather insights into project specifications.
- Support the gathering and organising of subcontractor and supplier information, learning about evaluation criteria and procurement processes.
- Help maintain project records and documentation, ensuring that all design activities are tracked and reported efficiently.
- Contribute to monitoring design output to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities with senior members of the team through mentoring and professional development sessions.
Person Specification:
- Educated to GCSE level A to C (9-7) in Maths / English (Level 3 entry)
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent (Degree apprenticeship entry)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Enthusiastic to learn and develop within the role.
